Danilo Bustos builds the platforms that bring artificial intelligence into large enterprises. In October 2026 he joins Google Cloud AI as a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Generative AI, building and deploying artificial intelligence inside the largest enterprises in the world.

He started at Yahoo! Research Latin America in Santiago, working on information retrieval for vertical search engines, and joined Equifax in 2015 as a big data engineer. Over eleven years there he helped build the Hadoop platform serving the business units in the US, Canada and Australia, moved to the United States for the migration to Google Cloud, and led the initial enablement of Vertex AI across the company.

In his final chapter at Equifax he led the Agentic Factory: the platform that standardizes how autonomous agents are built, deployed, and operated under regulatory constraints. In Q3 2026 the team reached its first autonomous agents running in Production.

His role changed along the way, from individual contributor to leading and scaling teams. He describes that job as being an enabler and a multiplier: paving the road so teams can ship, and making sure the people making the decisions have the context and the judgment to make them well.

He writes here about how these systems actually get built, about artificial intelligence adoption in the enterprise, and — under Thoughts — about life outside the technical work. He is from Puerto Natales, in Chilean Patagonia, and lives in Atlanta.
