I have spent my career building the platforms other teams build on, through three waves of the enterprise: Hadoop, standing up the big data platform for the US, Canada and Australia; the migration to Google Cloud, which brought me from Santiago to Atlanta; and AI, from the first Vertex AI enablement to autonomous Agents in Production. All of it inside a highly regulated industry, with sensitive data. Now I do it from the other side, at Google Cloud AI.

  1. Google Cloud AI

    Atlanta, Georgia

To solve the hardest problem in the industry today, which is AI adoption in the biggest enterprises in the world.

    1. Staff Forward Deployed Engineer, Generative AI

  2. Equifax

    Santiago, Chile → Atlanta, Georgia

The challenges in Big Data and Hadoop; it was a unique opportunity in Chile in 2015, so I decided to go there.

    1. VP of AI Engineering

      2026

Leading the Agentic Factory: the platform that standardizes how autonomous agents are built, deployed, and operated under regulatory constraints.

    2. Global Software & ML Engineer (Master - P5) - Data Fabric Decision Science

      2023 – 2026

Architecture for the enterprise analytical platform, and the adoption of Vertex AI, the enterprise MLOps platform, and internal RAG applications on top of it.

    3. Global Solutions Architect - Data Fabric Data Science

      2021 – 2023

Designing and overseeing the architecture, and engaging the different teams across the Data Fabric organization.

    4. Software Engineer Specialist - Data Fabric

      2020 – 2021

Moved to the US for the migration to Google Cloud: the batch layer for the Key and Linking platform in Go, and the machine learning platform for the whole alliance.

    5. Big Data Engineer Career

      2017 – 2020

Big data pipelines and streaming ingestion in Java, Scala and Spark, and squad lead for attribute creation.

    6. Big Data Engineer Intermediate at Data Service and Data Analytics

      2015 – 2017

Built the Hadoop platform for the business units in the US, Canada and Australia, including five months in Australia standing up the platform for Veda.

  3. Yahoo! Research Latin America

    Santiago, Chile

I was very excited to work on vertical search engines and parallel algorithms.

    1. Software Engineer

Implemented the WAND algorithm, scheduling logic, and a C++ ML model to predict online query response times for vertical search engines.
